Terms & conditions

These terms govern your use of Kontovu, an AI study app for students operated by Agustín Prada as an individual developer. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Kontovu.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Kontovu. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

The service

Kontovu provides AI-generated explanations, study sessions, and practice questions for educational purposes. Kontovu is exclusively an iPhone app available on iOS; there is no web version. The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity under it. You must provide accurate information when registering and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use at agustin@astlian.com.

Your content

You retain ownership of the questions and prompts you submit. By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to host, process, and display it solely to operate and improve the service. Do not submit content you do not have the right to share.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse Kontovu. This includes attempting to disrupt the service, circumvent access controls or usage limits, extract the service's underlying models or prompts through automated means, submit unlawful or infringing content, or use the app in any way that violates applicable law or the rights of others. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

AI content disclaimer

Responses are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors or inaccuracies. AI content is for study assistance only and is not professional advice. Always verify important information against authoritative sources. You are responsible for how you use the content, including for schoolwork and exams, and for complying with your institution's academic integrity rules.

Subscriptions and payments

Some features may require a paid subscription, purchased exclusively through Apple's in-app purchase system. Payment, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are governed by Apple's terms and processed by Apple; we do not handle payment details. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's Settings, and access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Intellectual property

Kontovu, including its name, logo, and app design, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial study purposes.

Termination

You may stop using Kontovu and delete your account at any time from the Settings screen within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or if we discontinue the service. On termination, your right to use the app ends immediately, and your data is handled as described in our privacy policy.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kontovu is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or a nominal amount where no payment was made. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it.

Resolving issues

If something goes wrong, contact us first at agustin@astlian.com so we can try to resolve it informally. If we cannot resolve a dispute, these terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections applicable in your place of residence.

General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts continue in full effect. These terms, together with the privacy policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding Kontovu.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When changes are material, we will notify you in the app before they take effect. Continued use of Kontovu after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
